Описание: Scuba Dive #30 (POV Insta360)

We shared our Catalina dive video from our GoPro perspective, but this one is from our Insta360. This is the 2nd time we used the Insta360 on a dive (the first time was in Cozumel, Mexico, November 2024). The first time was a little bit more challenging with using the dive case and editing, but this dive was so much better. We didn’t extend the stick as far and we were more familiar with the angle of the lenses. Even though the lenses capture a 360 view around us, the dive case can sometimes blur or hide images due to the case, which affects the “stitching” of the lenses. However, the colors came out beautifully and we were able to capture the both of us diving together, which was definitely a plus. With the Insta360, we were also able to capture everything around us and then can choose what we want to showcase in the video. It was perfect for the kelp forest since we were a little tunneled vision underwater due to the massive kelps. We were able to play back the videos and see everything around us that we didn’t see while under water - the Insta360 captured so much, which was very cool. The visuals underwater, especially with the kelp forest, were stunning! It’s always better in person, but the Insta360 did a good job capturing the enormous kelp around us and the colorful sea life as well. We will likely continue to use the Insta360 on our next dives.
