This study examined the cultural sensitivity of the CoPAFS instrument among Chinese Mandarin-speaking parents. The 27-item CoPAFS survey was used to assess co-parenting across married and unmarried family structures across English and Mandarin speaking couples. Factor analyses and confirmatory factor analyses indicated that the overall model fit for the translated co-parenting measure was acceptable in Mandarin. The five CoPAFS subscales (trust, respect, communication, acrimony, and value) showed similarities and differences across language groups; notably, communication was not endorsed among Chinese couples like it was among English speakers.
