An entire community of Trek 2300 loving cyclists have evolved over the years to share their passion with this specific frame. Built in the good old US of A, this bike has earned its reputation as being one of the frame highlights prior to the year 2000. We've come a long way in single piece carbon fiber frame designs today,  but, then, Trek had a different mission, to design a frame that was as light as aluminum and as comfortable as steel. And that's exactly what they accomplished. But, the 2300 goes beyond just performing well, it looks amazing too. These are beautiful frames that display the elegant carbon fiber material under a clear lacquer with very cool purple colored aluminum lugs holding together the carbon fiber monoque. Additionally, the frame has internal cable routing along the top tube providing for a streamlined, elegant look. This is certainly a build you can be proud of and a ride that will last forever.

The frame is in great shape with only a few cosmetic blemishes. The clear coating lacquer is very nice except for a couple of spots on the top tube. The purple paint on the lugs and rear triangle is also very good with the exception of a few minor scratches. Same with the front fork. Overall a very good looking frame with no rust, great threads.
