A little bit about the song…
The song used for this is called Illusions. It is a song I co-wrote with my college band, Over Legend. Over Legend was a Boston-based progressive rock band comprising of mostly Berklee students like myself. The band was active from 2007 to 2009. This band was heavily influenced by Dream Theater, which should be obvious when you hear the song. To give credit where credit is due, the other co-writers of Illusions are Sean Dusoe, Young Lee, and Travis Shore.

About the mix…
The AmpKnob BDH Bundle by Bogren Digital was used for the guitar sounds. The live guitar which is panned right is using the BDH 5169, the overdub guitar which is panned left is using the BDH 66o6+, and the guitar solo is using the BDH III with some delay and reverb added. The drum sounds come from Krimh Drums by Bogren Digital using the stock preset. There is a little bit of compression on the drum bus, and the parts were sequenced by me. The bass sounds come from MODO BASS 2 by IK Multimedia using the Flame Bass (Warwick Streamer). All of the amp and distortion sounds were made with the amp and pedal modelers in the plugin, and the parts were sequenced by me. The keyboard sounds are all stock Logic Pro X sounds and were sequenced by me.
