I just wrapped up a job where every guy around me stayed in hotels that cost way more than the per diem they were getting.
I went a different direction.
I camped out.
Not because I had to… but because I chose discomfort. I was warm, dry, slept great — and I brought home a whole lot more money than I would’ve if I chased comfort.
Modern life has made comfort too easy. And a lot of men have forgotten that we were built for harder times. Toughness isn’t about proving something to other people… it’s about choosing the path that makes you stronger, freer, and more capable.
If you’re building yourself into an Independent Man, sometimes the easiest way forward starts with choosing the harder way first.
