These fluffy butter buns are the coziest addition to any holiday table—soft, golden, and absolutely irresistible. 🎄💛
Fluffy Butter Buns
You can prepare this dough by hand or with a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook.
Ingredients:
1 cup warm milk (240 g)
30 g sugar (2½ tbsp)
8 g active dry yeast (about 2½ tsp)
1 egg
4 cups all-purpose flour (480 g)
1½ tsp salt (8–9 g)
50 g unsalted butter, softened
**baking pan size: 9x13 inch
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, yeast, and egg.
2️⃣ Add the flour and salt, and mix until a rough dough forms. Add the softened butter and knead for 6–7 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
3️⃣ First rise:
Cover the dough and let it rise for 45–60 minutes or until doubled in size.
4️⃣ Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces (about 72 g each). Shape each into a ball and arrange them in a greased or lined baking pan.
5️⃣ Second rise:
Cover and let rise again for 45–60 minutes.
6️⃣ Brush the tops with milk. Bake in a preheated 350°F (180°C) oven for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
7️⃣ While still hot, brush the buns with melted butter or rub a butter stick over the tops.
