In this video, we demonstrate how to install a dual battery setup on our Winnebago 2106 DS travel trailer.

We explain how to wire two batteries, whether lead-acid, AGM, or lithium in parallel to your RV for additional amp-hours essentially doubling your time out at the campground.

Also, we give you reasons why you would want a second battery installed on your travel trailer, that being extended time at the campground and more amp hours if you have a high power inverter.

To install a second RV battery, it is as easy as installing a second battery box, obtaining two cables, one positive and one negative about 2.5' in length, and wiring the positive wire on one battery to the other and the two negatives to each other.

You then will wire your travel trailer's main positive to one battery and the negative to the other.
