Changing the Head Gaskets on a L98 TPI Small Block Chevy 350 5.7L v8

Описание: This video shows how to replace the head gaskets on a Chevy Small Block v8. This version is the TPI (Tuned Port Injection) L98 engine version as used in the Corvette, Camaro Trans Am, Firebird and in many engine conversions such as this Overfinch Landrover Discovery1. This version is 350 cc (5.7 litres).

The job is straight forward but time consuming and a bit fiddly at times. On this car it is made more complicated by the presence of LPG injectors as well as petrol (gasoline) injectors. Also being a v8 with two heads it is twice the work. This engine has alloy heads on an iron block. It was introduced in 1985 and used on production cars up to 1992 but on custom ‘crate’ engine for many years after. This Overfinch car was converted around 1997 for instance.

For those of you wanting to have a go yourself or not willing or able to pay a garage to do it, then hopefully this video will come in handy.
