Cape Le Grand National Park - Frenchman Peak
Frenchman Peak is one of the most unique hilltops I have climbed.
When you reach the summit you will find a large cave thought to have formed by wave action and underwater currents during a period, some 40 million years ago when sea levels were at least 300m above their current level and the peaks of Cape Le Grand were largely submerged. How incredible is that.
At 3km return, it was a short walk. I went up it twice while in Cape Le Grand National Park. The 1st time up I ran it in around 15 min, it is quite steep though I was just keen to get up there and see the sunset.
The 2nd time up I walked it while filming this YouTube content and it took me about 45 min to reach the top.
This great little hike to tackle while in the Cape Le Grand National Park, is one that I would recommend.
