Ajay Singh, a businessman from Madhya Pradesh, was detained while travelling from Bhopal to Malaysia via Delhi after an Explosive Trace Detector reportedly identified traces of heroin and MDEA in packets inside his luggage. The packets later turned out to contain ordinary branded spices like aamchur and garam masala.

But by the time forensic testing confirmed there were no narcotics at all, Singh had already spent 57 days in jail under the NDPS Act.
