Ravenshaw University students fall ill again amid food poisoning, water contamination concerns

Описание: Students of Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, continue to face serious health concerns as multiple cases of food poisoning and suspected water contamination have been reported from university hostels. Over the past few weeks, several students were hospitalized after suffering from vomiting and diarrhea, triggering panic across the campus.

Despite similar incidents in the past, no official inquiry report has been made public, leaving students uncertain about whether the cause lies in hostel food or drinking water. More than 15 students from East Hostel were admitted to SCB Medical College, while others from Bhargavi Hostel were treated at the university dispensary.

Students allege that hostel drinking water contains excess bleaching powder and that hygiene standards in kitchens are poor. They have urged the Vice-Chancellor to take swift corrective measures and make past investigation findings public.
