OLAN
Ingredients:
Chow chow / Ash gourd,
Colocasia / Potato,
Achinga Payar (Long Beans),
Coconut Milk,
Green Chillies,
Curry Leaves.
Method:
Chayote, chow chow or Bangalore brinjal is a common inexpensive vegetable that belongs to the gourd family, along with melons and cucumbers. It is known by different names in different places.
Peal the chow chow and chop them in small cubes. If you are taking potatoes instead of colocasia, chop the potatoes in medium cubes.
add all the vegetables, chilli, curry leaves and salt together in a Chatti / pan. Add 3/4 cup of water.
Cover it with a lid and cook.
Once the vegetables are cooked turn off the flame and add coconut milk.
Add curry leaves and Coconut oil.
OLAN is Ready to serve.
