Unbeyond Anthologies return to the well of braindance with “Idiosyncrasy Vol. 2”, the follow-up to last year’s cutting-edge electronic compilation. Delving even further into wilder sounds, the second volume of Idiosyncrasy is even more dynamic and experimental.

Awkwerd kicks things off with euphoric jungle track “Alone on a Friday Night’, which glitters with vibrant synths and jittery breaks. Inkdot follows up with a groovy downtempo offering in the form of “Misplaced”, melding their usual surreal, glitchy soundscapes with a laidback breakbeat straight out of the late 90s. Ethan Burgundy brings the listener into the deep end of experimentation with a flustering medley of sound design in his track “Everything Sounds So Pedestrian”, equal parts manic and groovy.

S0MBRA makes her return with the deconstructed club track “Fog Blanket”, a paralyzingly eerie and punchy track that takes the artist’s signature Neo-Noir sound to its most unhinged point to date. Finally, closing out the compilation, Hemeltijd and &RUE team up for one of the most disturbing songs we’ve ever released, as “Sulphuric Desire” chugs along with chilling vocals and devastating atmosphere.

Undoubtedly one of the most mind-melting releases we’ve unleashed to date, expect the unexpected going into this 5-track collection of outside-the-box music.
