Song: Home Alone (Somewhere in my memory) & Canon in D
Detail: "Somewhere in My Memory" was composed by John Williams especially for the movie "Home Alone" in 1990. Since then, it has become a beloved and iconic Christmas song performed all around the world.
The composer of the famous "Canon" (often played in D, but also C) is the German Baroque composer Johann Pachelbel (1653–1706), known for this masterpiece, "Canon and Gigue in D Major, P. 37," a work for three violins and basso continuo, though modern arrangements vary widely in key and instrumentation, with "Canon in C" being a popular transposition.
