FL v. Cole Goldberg | Reality Star Boat Strangling Trial | Bench Trial Coverage

We’re going to watch the ~3 day bench trial for Florida v. Cole Goldberg, the case tied to the April 2022 incident on a boat in Lake Boca Raton during Boca Bash.

This is the case some outlets have called the “Reality Star Boat Strangling Trial,” and the allegation is that Goldberg attacked his then-girlfriend, Caroline Schwitzky during an argument on the boat.

Schwitzky was on the show 90 Day Fiancé alum and works as a Miami talent agent.

According to the allegations and witness accounts, Goldberg grabbed her by the throat, forced her into the water, and tried to hold her underwater before other passengers intervened. Florida Fish and Wildlife officers arrested him at the scene.

The case initially carried higher charges and later proceedings have reflected a reduced attempted murder charge. This trial is being heard as a bench trial, which means the judge (not a jury) decides the facts and the verdict.
