In this video, I unbox, assemble, and thoroughly test this exciting new release from Gozney designed for use anywhere in the world you might want to make pizza. I received a media sample from Gozney so that I could share my honest thoughts with you.

The Tread is basically a smaller and more portable version of the Gozney Arc, which might be my favorite oven design because it gives you such great heat control.

There is very little assembly required with the Tread. The only thing you really need to do is place a metal guard over the lateral burner.

This oven heats up quickly, reaching over 850°F in 15 minutes. This is already hot enough to cook Neapolitan pizza. After another 10 minutes, the oven had reached almost 1000°F. I didn't bother taking more measurements after that because you really don't need an oven to get any hotter!

I also tested how fast the oven cools down since that might be important if you need to move it soon after cooking. I found that the outside surface was cool enough to touch without burning myself after about 25 minutes.

I tested cooking in this oven by making several Neapolitan and New York style pizzas. The Neapolitan styles turned out great even on my first try, with wonderful leoparding. For New York style, I found that the oven ran a little hotter than I would prefer. I had to make some adjustments to my usually cooking habits in order to avoid overcooking my New York pizzas.

There are several optional accessories that you can buy to go with the Tread.

The Venture stand gets the oven up to an ideal height for cooking and has four adjustable legs to help you deal with uneven ground. There's even a bubble level to help ensure that you've got the legs adjusted right.

The Roof Rack provides a flat surface for prepping or resting your food or cooking tools. If you are going to be somewhere without a table or counter available, it could be helpful.

I don't really understand the purpose of the Mantel. I didn't find any advantage to it during my testing.

The Venture Bag is quite nice and has some pockets that seem useful. If I were going to be moving my Tread around various locations, I think I would buy the bag.
