Описание: Galgotias University has been asked to vacate its stall at the ongoing India AI Summit 2026 in Delhi after a controversy over a Chinese robot dog, Unitree Go2, displayed as “Orion.” The viral video showed a university representative presenting the robot, leading to immediate action from IT Ministry officials. Electricity to the stall was cut off, and the university was removed from the expo.

The university clarified through Professor Neha Singh that they never claimed to manufacture the robot. “We bring projects from all over the world so students can research and learn,” she said. The robot, purchased in January via an Indian distributor, was mistakenly described as “developed” due to a slip of the tongue.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi criticised the summit, calling it a “disorganised PR spectacle” and questioning the showcase of Chinese products instead of leveraging Indian talent and data.
