I’m down at my veg patch today having a gentle potter and planting elephant garlic, even though I’m a bit late getting it in. Fingers crossed it still does its thing and is ready for pulling in summer 2027 🧄🌱
I also have a little proud moment showing off the compost, which is breaking down beautifully and will be heading back onto the beds before long. There’s something very satisfying about turning garden waste into good soil.
This is just me, my garden, and taking things at my own pace. Gardening in my over 60s is less about rushing and more about enjoying being outdoors, keeping moving, and growing what I can — when I can.
