This lift connects the parking deck with the ground floor outside of a building. It serves a grocery store.
The lift was installed upon construction of the building in the 1970s. As to be expected for that period of time, it has Emch's own relay logic and rotating floor selector. It is bottom drive with the motor room being on the floor -2, below the lowest floor of the lift. The said floor also provides direct access to the shaft pit, where the lift can be examined working from below.
A very unique detail to this lift is the early construction of automatic doors. Since lifts by Emch back then usually were not installed in commercial buildings, almost all remaining ones from that time are innerdoorless swing door lifts. Therefore these old automatic sliding door lifts by Emch are very rare.
The door on ground floor can be locked from outside, disabling it to be opened and interrupting the safety loop. This way the lift is shut down when the store closes.
