"Ashley's Theme!" Warioware: Touched! Remix [by accentaigoo]

I’m going to be perfectly honest––I’ve never played any of the Warioware games. They seem a little too rage-y for my liking. However, I really, really like this track; I first heard it as an insaneintherain remix, and I instantly fell in love with it and the original, so I knew I had to remix it at some point. And what better time to do it than Halloween, with an electro-swing take on it?

There are several things in this remix I’m proud of. I like the pitch bending in the second a-section, the eq-ing of the trumpets, and the sax “soli” in the b-section. And the licc. Kind of. Try to find it. And while there are some things I really liked about this track, there were some things absolutely frustrating with it, too. For instance, when I tried to bounce the final track, Logic kept acting up, and the saxes would “glitch out” right at the outro. I’m not entirely sure how to explain it––they kinda sounded jittery and harsh and not very good. Logic just wanted to wish me an early Halloween, I guess. At least it worked out.

I wanted to record vocals for this remix, but I had neither the time nor the space, so I hope to record them for something I want to release in November. It’s actually something I had finished last year, but coming back to it, it sounds really, really, really bad. I hope to remake it and release it to show myself just how far I’ve come as a mixer and producer.
