Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in front of a night club in Lima to protest against what they say is discrimination in Peru's night clubs.
Several clubs in the Peruvian capital have been accused of discriminating against people with Indian features and dark skin.
The Peruvian court ruled recently on behalf of the night clubs the right to choose their clientele.
The demonstration was against the recent court ruling which gives night clubs the freedom to choose who to allow entry to their venues.

The night club, The Edge, has received criticism for its alleged racist policy.
These protestors are demonstrating against nightclubs such as The Edge for what they say is race discrimination.
The protest was joined by people from many different backgrounds.
A group of musicians and dancers added a festive atmosphere.
But despite the lighthearted appearance, the demonstrators were trying to convey a serious message.
SOUNDBITE: (Spanish)
"As Peruvians we have a right. This case is a typical case of racism in the country. Like Hererra said this is a country of different kinds of blood, Indians, mixed. Now there is a prototype of people with blue eyes. This is a pacific protest so it can arrive to the conscience of the people."

The court ruling has been viewed by many as a negative precedent for night club goers all over Lima.
