Before the Chilcotin River Landslide and Flood. History Gone Forever

Описание: It is crazy how something that has lasted more than a century, and be erased forever in a matter of days. Mother nature will always do as she pleases, regardless of our intention or location, and this is a perfect example.

The landslide that blocked the Chilcotin river is a wild, but natural phenomenon, and luckily nobody was hurt, but the landscape has been changed forever. The Pothole Ranch is a location that has suffered possibly the most from this reality.

The Pothole Ranch, situated at the bottom of the beautiful Farwell Canyon, was swept away on August 5th, erasing a chapter of our Chilcotin history. Canada is such a young country, we are fortunate to have many locations still physically present from the early years of our countries growth. I am so thankful to be in a position to record these places, because you just never know when something will come and take them away.

I am happy everyone is safe, and I am happy that the property loss has been minimal. It is sad to see the loss that has occurred, but things could have gone much worse.
