Описание: Come join me on an ultra high definition 4k driving tour of Houston's Graffiti park. Also referred to as the Graffiti Building, but we will be passing several buildings with great murals and graffiti in the area.

Houston's Graffiti Park is located in the rapidly gentrifying neighborhoods east of downtown, near George R Brown convention center and BBVA Stadium. We will drive around the buildings that feature some of the best murals and graffiti. The artwork visible changes constantly, so every visit to Houston Graffiti park will show something different.

While we drive around Houston Graffiti park you will get a view of the neighborhood. There are many warehouses in the area that are being torn down and replaced by townhomes and mid-rise residential properties. This neighborhood has traditionally had strong ties to Asian and Hispanic communities in the City of Houston. You will see many signs on buildings and stores in a variety of different languages.

Houston Graffiti park is a popular location for instagram photo shoots and filming of videos such as music videos. During busier times people have to wait in line in order to take photos in front of a specific mural. Car enthusiasts like to pull their vehicles up in front of murals to take photos, or local car clubs meet up in the surrounding parking lots. It is also a popular area for motorcycles and scooters.

The murals are constantly changing, but often reflect the theme of Houston and its history with NASA, the local hip hop scene, or current events. In the aftermath of the murder of Houston native George Floyd, many murals were in memoriam of him and showed support of Black Lives Matter.

Houston's Graffiti Park is located on Leland St. near Chartres. It is in EADO neighborhood, just east of downtown. From Graffiti Park you can see George R Brown, the downtown Skyline, 8th Wonder Brewing and BBVA Stadium, as well as many residential homes, night clubs, restaurants, and shops and older warehouses. The City of Houston does not have any zoning requirements, and there can be surprising combinations of types of buildings in one neighborhood.

BBVA Stadium is home to the soccer teams the men's Houston Dynamo and the women's Houston Dash as well as the college (American) football team the Texas Southern Tigers. The stadium was formerly named BBVA Compass Stadium, but now is just called BBVA Stadium because it is sponsored by Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria from Spain.

George R. Brown convention center is the large building in the background with red pipes sticking out that looks similar to a ship. Before the pandemic this is where many large conferences and events took place in Houston throughout the year. It has numerous halls that are used for events throughout the year. George R. Brown Convention Center also became an emergency shelter to house people after both Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and Hurricane Harvey in Houston.

During the drive we also will pass by 8th Wonder Brewery + Distillery. You can see the "We love Houston" sign by local Houston sculptor David Adickes.
