First irrigation time in wheat crop |When to irrigate wheat field |How to increase tillers in wheat crop |Abid Ali Agrarian
In this video, I will shortly explain the technical point of first irrigation in wheat crop. When to irrigate wheat field is a very common question. People must know the wheat plant physiology. After 20 to 21 days, wheat plant initiates secondary roots or crown roots. Tillering stage is started by development of crown roots. Plant is at 3 to 4 leaves stage. When wheat field plant are at 4 leaves stage, farmer should irrigate his field but by keeping in view the structure of his soil. If his soil is sandy, he may irrigate his field after 18 days. If he has loamy soils, he may irrigate his wheat field after 20 to 25 days after seeding. If he has clayey soil, he may irrigate his field 30 to 35 days after sowing.
Time of first watering in wheat crop is very important and critical. Late or delay in irrigation at this tillering stage may cause serious yield or production loss.
Seminal roots are primary roots but they disappear after 30 days. They emerge from seed and provide support to wheat plant in initial days.
In this video, I will also explain the phenomenon that how we can increase tillers in wheat field.
