During his recent visit to Taiwan, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang upgraded his private car from a Mercedes-Benz S-Class to a Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, an ultra-luxury SUV worth millions of New Taiwan dollars. The change to this understated but opulent car sparked discussion online, with some netizens joking that for Huang, who can “earn a car every few minutes,” driving a Maybach is quite frugal.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang makes the news every time he returns to Taiwan. During his most recent visit, people noticed he upgraded his private car from the previous Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Huang’s new ride, the Maybach GLS600 luxury SUV, is worth over NT$10 million. It takes a week for craftspeople to paint its signature two-tone look.

Its starting price is over NT$11 million. Huang also chose to have a light-colored interior, which would raise the price to around NT$12 million. Younger, affluent buyers with the same budget might choose Works, the Lamborghini brand, while more understated, successful buyers might choose the Maybach GLS.

People online joked that this expense is nothing to Huang, who could earn enough to buy one of these cars in just a few minutes. As his net worth grows annually, Huang’s cars have become increasingly high-end.
