Perhaps one reason the elephant got a long nose is the crocodile, but could there also be other reasons why the elephant's nose became as long as it? Hmm!

Well-known for her notable work in the Hindi, Marathi and Kannada film industries, Padmavati Rao is a multi-faceted personality - apart from being an accomplished film and theatre personality, she is also a trained classical singer and dancer, a puppet-maker, an author, and expert knitter, a storyteller.. the list goes on! Pinty Akka, as Ranga Shankara fondly knows her, also has the highly acclaimed "Kitchen Poems" to her credit, as well as the translation of Girish Karnad's plays to Hindi.

The importance and relevance of stories remain unchanged through the years; it is the way we move forward. It is with this aim and the extraordinary circumstances we find ourselves in that made us take our signature storytelling programme, "Little Cloud" (under AHA! - Theatre for Children) onto a digital platform. All the videos were shot during the COVID-19 lockdown with just phone cameras!

As our Artistic Advisor, Arundhati Nag, puts it, "Today, more than ever before, as we look into the way we have conducted our lives and the kind of world we are going to bequeath to the little ones, we need to share with them stories. Stories that will enlarge their sense of self-sufficiency, respect for others, sense of justice, sharing, caring and many more ways to negotiate and shape the different world ahead."
