In #Khandala, #Drinkingwater scarcity was a #significant issue driven by rapid #population growth, which had strained natural resources and resulted in a supply-demand gap. The problem was further exacerbated by silt buildup and summer water shortages, requiring the annual deployment of over 1600 tankers from January to June annually.
Recognizing this challenge, Vanarai Trust initiated collaborative efforts with Desai Brothers Ltd. under the watershed development Program. Through this partnership, this initiative has successfully established four Water harvesting structures I.e. CNB’s that solve Khandala's drinking water problem, benefiting approximately 30,000+ residents of Khandala town.
