चांगशीलदहिमाचल के शिमला जिले में पड़ता है। दिल्ली से रोहडू की दूरी करीब 409 km है जो दिल्ली से देहरादून -त्यूणी -होते हुए रोहडू पहुँचता है। रोहडू से रोड केवल सिंगल लेन है और पब्बर नदी के किनारे कई जगह बेहद खस्ताहाल है। रोहडू से आगे चड़गाँव टिक्करी तक आप पब्बर नदी के किनारे आते है। टिक्करी से रोड चांगशील के लिए अलग हो जाती है। चांगशील शिलादेश ग्राम पंचायत में है। यह मोटर मार्ग डोडरा क्वार के लिए जाती है जो समुद्र तल से 3738 मी का चांगशील दर्रे को पार करती है। नवम्बर में बर्फ पड़ने के बाद यह मार्ग अप्रैल तक बंद हो जाता है।रोहडू से करीब 50 km की दूरी पर चांगसील पास है। इसी पास से होकर हिमांचल के अंतिम गाँव डोडरा क्वार के लिए रोड जाती है। सर्दियों में यह सड़क पूरी तरह बंद हो जाती है।
Changshil Pass in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh is one of India’s most remote and dangerous mountain roads. This single-lane road runs along the Pabbar River and connects Rohru to Dodra Kwar, the last village of Himachal. Due to heavy snowfall, the pass remains closed for nearly six months every year.
