Actually I cannot prove that this is the original opening. But to me it seems strange that Warmarch of the Priests in most versions of The Abominable Dr Phibes is played on a violent cathedral organ while the organ in the movie is a theatre organ.
But then I found this version on the French soundtrack of the MGM Midnite Movies series DVD. This is the real thing. So I assume that this is how the opening was supposed to sound. But for some reason it was changed.
