Square body chevy - Replace Master Cylinder

Описание: Mongo hit brakes on big suburban and they get squishy and go to floor, that not good. Open up master cylinder and see a guizer shooting brake fluid straight up! that not good! That mean the cup seal inside master cylinder not working right. They letting fluid past and not pushing it to wheels. So Mongo order up a new one. Duralast PN NM1872

Looks like the new master cylinders no longer come with the brake bleed kit. Mongo no like this. They used to! Companies are getting greedy and want to make sure to charge extra 20bucks and sell you a master cylinder bleed kit. Doorman PN14151 (most people only going to use this kit once and it comes with all sorts of stuff for all sorts of different master cylinders.)

01:07 Bench bleed
All new Master cylinders need to get bench blead before they go on the cars/trucks. To bench bleed it need to get bolted to a bench or use a vice. Then connect the threaded adapters to the 2 outlets on the cylinder. Attach the small hose from kit (once for each adapter) and the other end of hose go into the related reservoir, if only one reservoir then put both in that one. Fill cylinder with the appropriate brake fluid (might be DOT3 or DOT4 or other) then use bar or hammer handle to push the master cylinder push rod in and out until all the air bubbles are out of the lines. (If not then it will take much longer to bleed the brakes on the car and you may never get all the air out!)

03:25 Remove and Reinstall Master cylinder
Then can install on car/truck. Need to unbolt the old master cylinder (usually 2 bolts) and disconnect the brake lines from it. Some of the newer ones have sensors in them so be sure unclip or remove those. Then can install the new one. Once done reconnect the lines.

05:19 Bleed Brakes
Then need to bleed brakes (any time you open the brake line system you need to bleed brakes) can do old school 2 person style or vacuum or gravity, but make sure to get all the air out of the lines before driving. Always test the brake pedal before moving a vehicle.
