Sky News contributor Sophie Elsworth weighs in on the arrest of disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, describing it as one of the “biggest scandals” to hit the Royal Family.
“Those pictures have now been beamed around the world of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor … sitting in the back seat of a four-wheel drive, it looks like, looking quite startled,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News Australia.
“This is just extraordinary that we have one of the most senior members of the Royal Family all day in police questioning.
“This has absolutely shocked the British public; it’s shocked the monarchy.
“The world is just coming to terms with what some here in Britain have deemed the biggest scandal to hit the Royal Family since the abdication in 1936.”
