Trauma is something every human being encounters in this fallen world. From broken homes and abandonment to sickness, identity struggles, and emotional wounds, many of us carry pain that shapes how we see ourselves—and even how we see God.
But the Bible gives us a powerful reminder in 1 Peter 4:12:
"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you."
In this message, we explore the reality that suffering is inevitable in a world affected by sin, but we also discover the incredible truth that Jesus understands every wound we carry. Scripture tells us that we have a High Priest who is touched by the feeling of our infirmities (Hebrews 4:15). The Savior we serve did not come only as King—He first came as the Lamb, acquainted with grief and suffering.
This message dives into:
Why trauma exists in a fallen world
How the enemy tries to distort our view of God through suffering
The “suffering side of Christ” and why Jesus can relate to our pain
How God’s grace overcomes the wounds sin leaves behind
Why bringing our trauma to God is the beginning of healing
No matter what you have experienced, the cross reminds us of this powerful truth:
Where sin abounds, grace abounds much more. (Romans 5:20)
God sees your pain.
God understands your struggle.
And through Christ, healing and victory are possible.
