The Transformer brings new tech to the storm umbrella. Using the Morph Wing Core, you can drill your Transformer to either hit the wing or miss the wing. Changing how you lay this ball out drastically changes your on lane performance. I chose to drill the wing out of my Transformer to take full advantage of the extra performance I could generate. Doing so, I saw a quite violent reaction on this ball down lane. Paired with the V-R1 Solid Cover (a non-nano based formula), this ball really got down the lane and kicked off the back end. I see myself using the ball more in the transition phase of a block or league night. To me, the cover is just a bit too weak to start with this ball, unless there is enough friction already developed in the mid lane.
For player with less rev rate than myself, I can see the extra post-drilled dynamics this ball offers to be beneficial at getting the ball to be a little more continuous down lane. Storm offers lots of YouTube videos on the technical aspects of this core you can find.
