This video documents a major milestone in my off-grid cabin build. In this update, I finish the final exterior soffit and trim, officially sealing the cabin from weather, pests, and the elements for the first time since construction began.
This DIY off-grid cabin started as trees in the woods, was milled at a sawmill, and is being built step by step into a fully functional off-grid cabin. Completing the soffit and exterior trim may not look dramatic, but it’s a critical part of protecting the structure and preparing it for interior work.
