Dawn the budgie was very unwell when she presented at Bird Vet Melbourne. Admitted to the hospital, the avian team worked through a range of tests in order to discover why Dawn was so sick.
In this video, practice manager, Mel Vincent discusses the case, what was found and what the treatment would be. Dawn turned out to be suffering from metal toxicity. With a raised blood lead level and a metal piece showing on her xray, the team knew exactly what to do.
