Paradeep Phosphates Ltd (PPL) will invest over Rs 1,500 crore to expand production capacity from 2.6 MT to 3.7 MT by FY26, aiming to double its market share from 12% to 25% in India’s 20 MT phosphatic fertiliser sector. The Bhubaneswar-based company, which reported nearly Rs 14,000 crore turnover in FY25, plans the expansion through internal accruals and selective borrowing, including the amalgamation of Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd (MCFL). PPL is also increasing granulation and phosphoric acid capacity, expanding sulfuric acid output, and securing long-term raw material partnerships with global suppliers. The company aims to achieve robust growth in NPK grades and nano-fertiliser production while supporting India’s Atmanirbhar strategy in fertiliser manufacturing.
