Note: Just be mindful that when you are flying within Europe and going through the airport security, the liquid allowance is maximum 1 liter total (each liquid must be 100ml or less), and must fit in a quart clear bag. In USA, the maximum allowance for liquids is what you can fit in one-quart sized clear bag (each liquid 3.4oz (about 100ml) or less). The larger ziploc of liquids I used was not questioned on my flight from USA to europe, but technically that was too large of a bag. I recommend trying to pack a little lighter than I show with the liquids and fitting it all in a quart-sized clear bag. I ended up placing a few of my liquids in my boyfriend’s suitcase, when we were flying within europe, as he had more space in his liquid bag to spare. I also moved my liquids to a quart bag in Europe so that I was within the requirments! we also stayed at some AIRBnB’s, so I wanted to be sure we had shampoo etc… but the places we stayed at had most of this stuff, so you should be able to save liquid space but not packing all of those shower items depending on your preference!

Suitcase/baggage allowances and size requirements vary depending on what airline you are flying! Please read their policies to understand what will work best for you! The below carry-on is a great size for a lot of the European or budget-airline requirements at a height of 21.7 inches.

Space bags are a great way to “squeeze” a lot of clothes together in a compact manner. I personally didn’t notice bad wrinkling, and some of the places we stayed at had irons if you wish to iron, but I didn’t notice an issue with my clothing. An alternative option to space bags are packing cubes, or not using either. My boyfriend was able to pack for the same trip in a carry-on & personal item without using space bags or packing cubes, he just folded the clothes and fit them all in. You can choose to pack your bag in a way that suits you, but this is typically what I like to do (:

I would love to experiment with the packing cubes next big trip and compare, but the space bags worked fine for me this trip!😁

Be aware of the voltage limits in the country you are traveling to. For instance, my hair dryer actually comes with two different settings, 125v vs. 250v, so I was able to use it where I was going by switching it to the 250v option in europe, and back to 125v in USA. Make sure you are researching the electricity voltage for the place you are visiting to avoid danger or burning out your heat tool!
