Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan to discuss the current regional situation, the Foreign Office said on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized maintaining peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.

He was talking to Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Maliki, who called on him, in Islamabad today.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

He reiterated Pakistan's resolve to further deepen the long-standing brotherly relations between the two countries and thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his support to Pakistan which has brought the two countries closer together.

Shehbaz Sharif mentioned his meetings with the Crown Prince during the year, which had been very significant in taking the Pak-Saudi bilateral relations to new heights.

He appreciated Saudi Arabia's continued support to Pakistan in times of need and its constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

The Saudi Ambassador conveyed a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He reiterated Saudi Arabia's desire to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.
