This hour-long, interactive discussion addressed the possibility of closing the inequality gap through coordinated and purposeful action at this moment of crisis.

For the first time since the Great Depression both advanced and emerging economies are in recession. Estimates from the World Bank suggest that the virus will push between 40 – 60 million people into extreme poverty this year - and the region that will be hardest hit is sub Saharan Africa.
