Magging in Gate 3 feels the best, and I enjoy it more than Smashing.

There's a few advantages to Magging, like being able to greed damage until the last moment of the laser attack at a distance (since Smashing up close makes the lasers aim diagonally which can make it hit other players). It's also not much but it's possible to damage Halos while keeping the boss at a distance as well.

Similarly for the swipes, it's easier to prevent the boss from swiping back into the party on the second swipe, since Mag has a shorter animation than Smash, and we're already at range.

Being able to use Mirage Missile is also really nice, since combined with the slow from Deliver Judgment, the boss moves very slowly at times, increasing the interval between its attacks. The best times to use it are the Multi Laser attack, and the Exploding Circle attack, since the boss tends to walk towards the aggroed target after these two attacks.

With full Mana Shield I just greed Mag through the weaker attacks (but as usual, Rend Armor swipes and the Exploding Circle), and just potion up when I lose all my Mana.
