Tahmoh Penikett BEFORE Battlestar Galactica (Dial the Gate)

But before science fiction fans met William and Lee Adama, Laura Roslin, Kara Thrace, Sharon Valerii, and the rest of Galactica's crew Stargate SG-1 was the network's biggest show – and a pillar of Vancouver film production. That means the shows shared many cast and crew members over the years, including Captain Karl "Helo" Agathon actor Tahmoh Penikett.

In this conversation with "Dial the Gate" Tahmoh remembers the early days of his career, including a part on Stargate. He played one of the first human-form Replicators, "Third," in the episode "Unnatural Selection." Tahmoh talks about the chemistry of the SG-1 cast, the Replicators' later return, his love of science fiction, and the confluence of sci-fi and contemporary A.I. technologies.
