For the third straight year, the @n.c.transportationmuseum7682in collaboration with The Train Department - hosted "Steam Over Spencer"! This event features a bunch of Gauge 1 live steam trains running amid the backdrop of the historic Southern Railway backshops, where real-life steam locomotives were rebuilt and serviced.
In this video, you'll see a wide variety of miniature steam engines running around four separate loops of track for the benefit of visitors. Also included is a look at the NCTM excursion train, featuring two vintage diesel locomotives!
If you missed out this year, don't worry! Steam Over Spencer will return on March 4-8, 2026!
