I’m giving Treadwright tires another shot. Earlier this year they asked me to try their MT Claw II’s. I couldn’t stand the tires on the highway and pulled them off after six months. Now, Treadwright wants me to give their Guard Dogs a chance. Let’s get them on.
I’m skeptical of the Guard Dogs because of my experience with the Claw II’. I made three trips to tire shops for mounting and balancing the Claws and still had trouble. I’m leery of the G and don’t want to do the same dance.
My Jeep wants to be Jekyll and Hyde- an overlander and a trail rig, with tires for each occasion. My go-to tire is the BF Goodrich K02 and then Treadwrights for the forbidding.
I’m hopeful the Guard Dogs have better highway manners and less whine.
