This bike was made with love for someone. The recipient’s nickname was even put on the seat tube. But it fell by the wayside and now it’s time to give it a new life.
I was looking for a step through frame for my wife and this popped up for sale so I ventured south of the Thames, deep into the ends, to collect it.
There’s so much to like about this bike. There’s no shortage of alternatives in this space but functionally this bike is a dream. It’s comfortable riding position and nippy handling makes it a perfect everyday bike.
The only downside to this particular instance is that it’s missing some of the trademark Temple finishing touches. Notably the frame is blank and it doesn’t have the unique builder’s mark that all Temples have to show who assembled the bike.
All in all it’s a top package. Plenty of tidying up still needed including the cabling and mudguards but it’s become a central mode of transport.
