This is a simple and powerful story I am telling about a man called Jacobo who lived in my village in Nigeria, and through his actions he taught everyone an important lesson about preparation, patience, and wisdom. In my village, many people used to wait for the rainy season before preparing their farms, but Jacobo chose to use the dry season wisely by clearing, ploughing, and arranging his land carefully while others were resting. When the rains finally came, other farmers were rushing and panicking, but Jacobo was calm because everything was already ready, and he simply planted his seeds and watched them grow strong and healthy.
As time passed, his crops grew earlier and better than the others, and when harvest season came, he received a great reward for the hard work he had done ahead of time. Through this story, I show that success does not come from rushing at the last minute, but from preparing early and using time wisely. The tale carries a strong lesson that when we plan ahead with patience and faith, we can enjoy peace while others are struggling, and that true wisdom is doing today what many people choose to delay until tomorrow.
