In C programming, a function is a self-contained block of code designed to perform a specific task. Functions are used to break down complex programs into smaller, more manageable, and reusable units, promoting modularity and making the code easier to understand, debug, and maintain.
Return Type: Specifies the data type of the value that the function will return after its execution. If a function does not return any value, its return type is void.
Function Name: A unique identifier given to the function, following the same naming rules as variables. It should reflect the function's purpose.
Parameter List (Optional): A comma-separated list of variables declared inside the parentheses, representing the input values (arguments) that the function expects to receive when called. If a function takes no inputs, the parameter list can be empty or specified as void.
