Sahara Avenue offers a strip of hotels, casinos, dining establishments, gaming, and entertainment away from the crowds and glitz of the Vegas Strip. It's a major east-west thoroughfare named for the Sahara Hotel and Casino at the intersection with Las Vegas Boulevard. The road runs from Red Rock Ranch Road to Hollywood Regional Park.
Las Vegas, often known simply as Vegas, is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Nevada and the county seat of Clark County. Las Vegas is an internationally renowned major resort city, known primarily for its gambling, shopping, fine dining, entertainment, and nightlife, with most venues centered on downtown Las Vegas and more to the Las Vegas Strip just outside city limits. It is a top-three destination in the U.S. for business conventions and a global leader in the hospitality industry.
