‘Help Me’ Note Foils Fake Uber Driver's Kidnapping Plot

Описание: An Arizona woman was allegedly kidnapped by a man posing as her Uber driver, bound with zip ties, and driven nearly 200 miles before managing to slip a desperate note to a gas station customer begging for help. Deputies later stopped the van, rescued the terrified victim, and arrested Jacob Wilhoit, who bizarrely claimed he abducted her to “save her from federal agents.” Though he initially faced kidnapping and assault charges, Wilhoit ultimately pleaded guilty only to a weapons charge and was sentenced to probation.
