Описание: Maintaining appropriate temperature conditions is critical in handling biological samples intended for research. The College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited biobank at Windber Research Institute (doing business as Chan Soon-Shiong Institute of Molecular Medicine at Windber - CSSIMMW) has the task of maintaining sample quality throughout the sample life cycle (acquisition, handling/processing, storage and distribution) for a number of government sponsored oncology research programs. The biorepository must be able to demonstrate that we maintain sample storage spaces such that the required storage conditions for biospecimens are met. To meet these requirements for temperature, we perform a temperature mapping validation for our biospecimen storage units. This video defines the method for mapping temperatures in ultra low freezers to evaluate and document the consistency of temperature ranges throughout each storage unit.
