How to Avoid Negative Approach...?
First of all we have got to know what Negative Approach is. This is the approach that perturbs our inner state of mind. Means, our current mentality is different now from the previous one which was quite normal earlier. This is called negative thinking or approach. Now the question is where does this negativity come from? It strikes us frequently, no matter we want it or not.
Some people have much negative thoughts whereas some have very little. Some people don’t let this negative thinking enter their life because they themselves are positive. Then what makes this negative approach strike one’s mind? INFORMATION is the source of this negativity. When we eat food, it gives us energy and our body remains healthy. Whenever we happen to fall ill, the doctor first enquires about our diet we had recently. It is so because our diet is the main source of our health. Exactly in the same way our mind also receives negative energy from the wrong or negative information. The information we receive develops our thoughts. This is the similarity, our body needs healthy diet to remain healthy, so does our brain need positive nourishment through emotional diet which produces our thoughts. Information is what we see, what we hear, what we speak, what we read and what we respond. All these things we see, hear, think, speak or feel is stored into our brain. This storage of information turns into thoughts. That’s why it’s advised to read, see, hear, speak or think positive because this attitude of our mindset gives birth to our positive thoughts.
If we come to know while going through the news paper in the morning that a child was trampled by a truck and therefore died. Suppose we come across the same news on the social media and TV also everywhere we move, it makes its abode in our mind for a long time resulting in the negative thought in our mind when our child one day if gets late to be back home and we have got no response from his switched off phone. We are invaded by the same negative thought whether our child has also met with such accident or whether he is safe or not. This is all because of the negative thought as a negative source of information developed in our mind. We never bother to think positive whether our child’s vehicle might have broken down or he might have been playing with one of his friends on the way.
So, we should put aside all negativity while reading or hearing something negative. This must be clear through one of the incidents that took place Swami Vivekananda’s life. Once he was going somewhere, he was surrounded by many monkeys on the way. Swami ji was quite perplexed and tensed, the monkeys kept teasing him. A passer by happened to witnessed it and went to Swami Ji. He asked him why he was feeling frightened. Swami Ji should not fear but instead he should face them all bravely and confidently. When Swami Ji acted upon this advice by yelling at the monkeys, they all got scared and ran way. We in our practical life also should behave like this only. We should drive these negative thoughts away without responding them.
So long as you keep nurturing these negative thoughts in your mind, they will keep annoying you. So think positive, behave positive.
